Story: Sweet Spiral From The Sea

Named after a little fishing village just outside Venice, Chioggia beets are as delightful as an Italian summer. First grown in the mid-1800s, this heirloom is known for its candy-cane surprise—slice one open to reveal rings of ruby red and creamy white, like nature’s own bullseye.

But don’t stop at the roots. The leafy tops are tender and tasty too, perfect for a quick sauté or tossed raw into your salad.

Rich in nutrients and antioxidants, Chioggias are a feast for the eyes and your cells. Roast them, pickle them, steam them—or just stare at them a little longer than usual. We won’t blame you.
