FAQ
The Dirt (on how it all works)
What's the difference between a Weekly Share and a Seasonal Share?
- The Weekly Share is flexible—order anytime (before weekly cutoff), no commitment. It’s perfect if you travel often, want to try it out first, or like to plan week-to-week.
- The Seasonal Share is a 3-month commitment (June 12th–September 11th) with weekly boxes, plus first dibs on bonus fall boxes if harvest allows. It’s best for folks who want consistency, savings, and a deeper connection to all the growing season has to offer.
When and where do I pick up my box?
Pickups happen Thursdays at two convenient locations: our Swisher farm stand or Heat Yoga Studio in Cedar Rapids. Simply select which location you would like when placing your order. We'll send a reminder email each week with pickup times and details!
Can I get my CSA box delivered?
Yes! Weekly delivery is available exclusively for our Seasonal Share customers.
We deliver to:
- Cedar Rapids
- Marion
- Swisher
- Solon
- Iowa City
- Coralville
- North Liberty
- (and surrounding Corridor towns)
Just select the delivery option when you make your Seasonal Share selection.
What's in my Palate Patch box each week?
Each box includes a seasonal mix of fresh herbs, produce, and rare palate pleasers. Variety changes based on what’s ripe and ready — that’s part of the fun!
Is the produce organic?
While we're not certified organic, we grow using natural, chemical-free methods and sustainable practices you can feel good about.
What if the harvest is smaller some weeks?
Nature runs the show, but we always aim to pack your box with the best of what's growing. Some weeks may be lighter or heavier — that's part of eating with the seasons! We aim for quality over quantity so you're always sure to have a box packed full of flavor regardless.
What happens after September?
If our harvest keeps producing, we may offer Bumper Bonus Boxes in October and November. Seasonal share customers will get first dibs. We'll keep you posted as the season winds down.
